Program Coordinator

Ontario Streams is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and reliable individual to coordinate and lead the Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach and Adopt-A-Stream programs within the Toronto area. This is a full time employment position which reports to the Field Supervisor and is based in Aurora, Ontario.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as lead in the planning, design, marketing, fund raising, coordination and implementation of Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach and Adopt-A-Stream programs throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario in association with project partners and local community groups
- Work with the Board of Directors to implement organization goals, business plan, and action plans
- Maintain and expand membership and volunteer base
- Prepare work plans, maintain individual financial records for projects, prepare quarterly progress reports and provide project presentations
- Supervise volunteers, summer staff and regularly liaise with staff from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Ontario Stewardship Councils and Conservation Authorities
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization
Qualifications
Ontario Streams is seeking a motivated, dynamic individual with a minimum of 2+ years of demonstrated experience in project management, aquatic ecology and stream rehabilitation. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Sciences is expected. Computer proficiency and analytical skills are essential. Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Potential candidates will be required to demonstrate their ability to work under minimal supervision. Valid Ontario driver's licence required.
Terms of Employment
The successful candidate will be offered a full time position at $640.00 to $760.00 per 40 hour week based on qualifications and experience. Successful candidate will be expected to work occasional weekends, evenings and holidays.
